GOVERNANCE

The responsibilities of a publicly listed company are very serious. THE BOARD.

Technology is vitally important. So are people. And this is greatly reflected in the makeup of the Wellcom Board. It consists of Wayne Sidwell Executive Chairman, Charles Anzarut, Non Executive Director, Kerry Smith, Non Executive Director and Janette Kendall, Non Executive Director. Between them they represent the three key areas of industry knowledge, corporate law and corporate finance. Between them they offer the strategic, technological and fiscal style of management required by a strong Board managing a global company. Wellcom has the right people overseeing and managing strategies, fiscal policies, acquisitions and technology. The sum total means long-term client relationships. Kerry Brian Smith joined Wellcom Group Limited in March 2006 and acts as Chairman of the company’s audit committee. Kerry has been a chartered accountant over thirty (30) years, serving on the audit committee of Schroders Australia from 1992 to 2000, and chairing the credit & risk committees at Schroders Australia from 1996 to 2000. He was also formerly a director of SMS Management & Technology Limited and a member of its Audit Committee.

Janette Kendall joined Wellcom Group Limited in February 2016. She is an experienced Non Executive Director, a Fellow of the AICD and holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing). Her extensive executive career has spanned operations, marketing and digital, both in Australia and China. Janette has experience across multiple industry sectors including digital, marketing & communications, media, retail, hospitality, property, gaming and manufacturing.


SENIOR MANAGEMENT.

Technology is important. But if you don’t have the right managers across the entire network then even the best technology is not enough. This includes administering the business, managing their teams and managing the highly valued client relationships. Wellcom invests heavily in its management team across the globe. All Wellcom senior managers have the cognitive fortitude required to maintain strong client relationships. They make it their business to understand their client’s business, and then tailor proactive solutions to further streamline the client marketing operations. ANDREW SIDWELL

Andrew has a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and commenced at Wellcom in 2006 as account manager in the print management division of the Group (formerly iPrint) until moving into the sales team at Wellcom in 2008, where he serviced clients such as Australia Post, Pacific Brands, FoodWorks and Jetstar. At the end of 2009, Andrew was promoted to run one of the Group’s affiliated businesses, Digital House, where he lead its transition from being prepress orientated to a specialised digital printing and data management business. In 2010 Andrew was promoted to General Manager of Victoria, and on 1 July 2014 he became Managing Director of Wellcom London. After two years in the UK, Andrew returned home to take on the role of chief executive officer of Wellcom Australia and New Zealand.

Andrew Lumsden was appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of the Group on 25 January 2013, having previously held the position of Group Financial Controller. Andrew was also appointed to the position of Global Chief Operating Officer on 1 July 2014. Prior to joining Wellcom, Andrew was a Senior Manager within the Audit and Assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Masters in Accountancy and Finance (First Class Honours), and is a Chartered Accountant and Associate of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Michael Bettridge has worked with Wellcom since 2000 and has been leading our Group Strategy and Global Business Development Team since 2006. After successfully establishing our operations in Singapore and Malaysia, Mick was appointed to the role Managing Director – Wellcom Asia in 2012.

 

Mick has a wealth of experience in all forms of advertising production and workflow technologies and specialises in tailoring solutions for leading retailers, banks, financial services organisations and our advertising agency partners.

By the age of 11, David had already launched his career by working in his father’s NYC based retouching studio, cleaning airbrushes, dry mounting dye transfers and black and white prints.

From there, he went on to co-found Imaging Consortium, the first Adobe Photoshop-based retouching pre-press company in New York City in 1992. Five years later, David became Managing Director after Big Flower Holdings purchased the company.

In 2002, David leveraged all of his expertise and airbrush cleaning skills to start thelab, a leading integrated production company specializing in creative solutions and executions. David sets the vision and oversees the growth of the company, while maintaining individual relationships with the majority of thelab’s client.

She has been in the print management side of the business for 10 years and an integral part of implementing our key print management accounts. Prior to joining Wellcom, Melinda worked at PMP Limited on the Telstra Account. Melinda is General Manager of Wellcom’s Print Management division, and oversees major accounts including Australia Post, Ford Australia, National Australia Bank and Commonwealth Bank.

Craig was also appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer, Australia and New Zealand, on 1 July 2012. Prior to joining Wellcom, Craig worked for some of Australia’s leading pre-media businesses including a 10 year career at Show-Ads in Sydney, in a variety of operational roles. Craig has over 25 years of experience in the graphic arts & pre-media industries.

Steve joined Wellcom as General Manager of the South Australian operations in 2003. Prior to joining Wellcom, Steve spent 14 years with Show Ads holding various roles including Managing Director and General Manager of Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Steve is a highly experienced professional within the advertising, printing and pre-press industries with over 30 years experience and is a mentor to many throughout the business. Steve was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer, Wellcom Australia and New Zealand on 1 July 2012. Steve also heads up the Wellcom Environmental Committee. Steve is currently supporting the business as a group consultant.
